What F5E3 means

F5E3 points to the door lock or door switch, and the wording varies by platform. On an all-in-one washer-dryer such as the WFC8090GX, the door lock will not unlock. A compact ventless laundry tower reports the door lock, and a standard laundry tower washer section names the door switch. A front-load Duet or WFW washer reports the door is not locking properly and asks you to clear anything blocking the latch. An older top-load HE washer (Cabrio or WTW) gives only a power reset. You will see the code and the door may stay shut.
