What F8E1 means

F8E1 and Lo FL mean the washer is not detecting the right amount of incoming water, and the wording varies a little by platform. Whirlpool front-load Duet and WFW washers, top-load HE washers, laundry towers and the all-in-one WFC8090GX all use it, and a compact ventless tower lists it as water detection. On a tower it can mean long fill, no fill or no water. The door may be locked and the control unresponsive until the washer finishes a drain routine.
