What 1c2c means

Whirlpool freestanding and slide-in ranges, gas or electric, including the WFE525S0HS and WFG515S0ES, can display 1C2C when the control finds trouble with the user interface or the wiring serving it. In plain words, the keypad and the control are not agreeing. The oven may ignore presses, shut a cycle down, or just leave 1C2C on the screen. It sits beside 1C1C but is a separate code.

Why does my range show 1C2C instead of 1C1C?

Both name the keypad and its wiring. They are two separate codes, and we read which one your display actually shows. The first checks are the same, while the findings can differ.

Why does the oven ignore my button presses?

The control may be losing the signal from the pad. A pad that has aged or a loose connector can both do this, and we test them to tell which.

Will you tell me if the range is too old to fix?
