It tells the control how hot the oven cavity is. With a wrong or missing reading, the control cannot manage heat safely, so it posts a code and may stop the cycle.

Does 1D11 mean the sensor has failed?

Not necessarily. The control or the wiring may be involved as well. We test the sensor and its connection first, which is the least costly place to start.

Will the oven be safe to use after a reset?
