What E3 means

E3 shows up on Whirlpool electric and gas dryers in the WED and WGD series, Cabrio and Duet generations included, such as the WED75HEFW, and the brand's guidance names no part for it, only a power reset. The same characters on the washer side of the older stacked laundry center mean an unbalanced load alarm, which does not apply to a dryer. On a dryer, E3 is a control-level code that we diagnose by testing the dryer.
