What Sabbath, Sab, 5Ab, or 5A7 means

Sabbath, Sab, 5Ab or 5A7 on the display of a Whirlpool freestanding or slide-in range, such as the WFE515S0ES or WFG525S0HV, tells you Sabbath Mode is enabled. The oven stays on in Bake until turned off, with every other cooking and cleaning mode disabled. In this mode the 12-hour shutoff, all tones and chimes, timers, cooktop lockout and Energy Save (on select models) are switched off. Every key is disabled except Start, Cancel and Off. Cancel it using your Owner's Manual steps.

1. Confirm the display shows one of the Sabbath codes. 2. Look up the Cancel Sabbath Mode steps in your Owner's Manual. 3. Use only the Start, Cancel or Off keys, since the others are disabled. 4. Wait for the Sabbath code to leave the display. 5. Try a normal bake to confirm the other modes are back.

They are display forms of Sabbath Mode, like Sab and Sabbath. The mode keeps the oven in Bake and disables other cycles, tones and timers. It is a setting, and your Owner's Manual shows how to cancel it.

Which keys work during Sabbath Mode?

Only Start, Cancel and Off work. Everything else is disabled on purpose, including timers and the 12-hour shutoff. Use Cancel or Off with the manual's steps to leave the mode.
