Wine Center Repair in Houston
Whirlpool wine centers and wine coolers can drift out of temperature, run constantly, frost over or leak. We check the airflow, sensor, fan and seals, and explain what is wrong with your unit.

Door seal loose or door will not close
Whirlpool wine centers are undercounter or freestanding units that hold bottles at a steady, cooler temperature than a kitchen refrigerator. Some use a compressor, others a thermoelectric cooler, and most have a fan, a temperature sensor, an electronic control and a sealed door gasket.
Houston heat and humidity are demanding. A unit set into cabinetry with little ventilation overheats, dust clogs the condenser, and humid air creates condensation and gasket mildew. A thermoelectric cooler in a hot garage or sunroom may struggle to reach its setting at all, which is a limit of the design, not always a failure.
We check ventilation, the condenser, the fan, the sensor, the gasket and the control, then the cooling system. If the unit is old and the repair is large, we say so, so you can weigh it against the cost of a new cooler.

What is the right temperature for a wine center?
Many owners keep reds around 55 to 65 degrees and whites a little cooler, though the unit's manual gives the supported range. A stable temperature matters more than the exact number. A unit that swings widely has a sensor, fan or seal issue.
Why is my wine cooler warm but running?
Dust on the condenser, a failed fan, a blocked vent or a door that is not sealing can stop it from cooling. Make sure it has room to breathe on all sides. If it still runs warm, we test the sensor and the sealed system.
Can a built-in wine unit be repaired without removing it?
Often yes, since front-access parts like the fan, sensor and gasket can be reached in place. A sealed-system repair may require pulling it out. We tell you what the repair involves before we start.
